The governors of St Philip’s School are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to start in September 2024.
Our Assistant Headteacher will be able to
demonstrate the ability to:
- Fully
support our Christian ethos.
- Promote high expectations of attainment,
progress and outstanding practice
- Have a clear knowledge and understanding of
current education practices and curriculum initiatives
- Have had experience of teaching across all
primary age ranges, particularly in Year 6
- Have
a sound knowledge of assessment and an ability to analyse data to identify next
steps.
Have the ability to
strategize and prioritise
- Have the skills to coach and mentor staff
- Be able to lead on curriculum development and
ensure high quality teaching and learning is established
- Be able to communicate effectively with a range of
stakeholders, incl. Governors, parents and members of the church community
- Be willing to undertake additional training that
will support them to fulfil the role
The role
will be class-based, with release time to complete leadership activities. There
is an expectation that the successful candidate will have the ability to work
across all age ranges.
