Academics are working with a lovely, Warrington based school who are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted who require a School Caretaker.
The Caretaker role is for an initial period of 3 months for 5 days per week, with a view to becoming permanent.
Ideally you will have an up to date DBS, but if not we can walk you through this process. You must be hardworking, trustworthy and reliable with previous experience as a Caretaker. DIY and maintenance skills are must, as is experience and knowledge around health and safety within the work place. You will also be a key holder, with responsibility for locking the school each evening.
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a school as a Caretaker, but this is by no means a pre-requisite. If you have not worked within a school, as strong maintenance background will be considered.
Caretaker responsibilities Include:
* Repairs and maintenance on the school building, the grounds, equipment and the general facilities.
* Key holder - Ensuring the building, grounds and facilities are secure and locked up each evening.
* BMS Management.
* Liaison with Engineers, Gardeners and Business Manager.
* Application of Health and Safety in line with school procedures.
* Oversee cleaning of the school.
All roles will require an enhanced criminal record disclosure (DBS), although we can help with this process a new application is required, and references checks from previous employers.
