Job description

Our client is thriving in the public sector, our client leads with an adept in-house team proficient in diverse property functions. From civil engineering to project management, they excel across a spectrum of services, including contract management, surveying, asset management, and planning.

They are looking for a site engineer. As a Senior Engineer specialising in Highways & Civil, you will be responsible for assisting in the collection, assessment, and implementation of essential information for successful scheme preparation. You will supervise and manage the design team, ensuring project delivery within budget and specification .

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the collection, assessment, and implementation of essential information for successful scheme preparation.
• Prepare or assist in preparing technical design and contract documents for highway and Civil Engineering projects.
• Supervise, manage, program, and measure the performance of the design team and junior staff members.
• Check design work produced by the team or external consultants.
• Prepare estimates for budget assessment and monitoring.
• Liaise with relevant bodies for highway project design and programming.
• :Represent the client at public meetings, carry out consultations, and advise as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

You will need:

• RQF Level 6-7 (or equivalent) in a relevant Civil Engineering field.
• Preferably a Chartered or incorporated Engineer with an appropriate body.
• Extensive experience in the design and construction of highway projects.
• Competent user of CAD software (e.g., Civil 3D, MX, Auto CAD) and drainage modelling software.
