GBP315 per day
Contract Full Time
Key Accountabilities
- To support the delivery day to day performance and insight management and quality assurance systems for corporate or directorate business and plans as part of the Corporate Hub at Walsall, in line with legislative requirements, national and local policy and strategy.
- To support research and analysis to help evaluate and improve understanding of need in the Walsall borough and support continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the data landscape including government official data, open source, grey source and restricted source data, including how to gain access to each source.
- Develop excellent working relationships with other data/information providers internally and externally across Walsall and the West Midlands.
- Awareness of/ membership of regional performance forums for analysts to exchange good practice.
- Demonstrable knowledge and ability using and applying research and statistical methodologies to performance.
- Work collaboratively to develop strong working relationships and provide a bridge between the council and the communities it serves;
- Provide value for money to ensure services are delivered in a timely fashion, combining sustainability with quality;
- Intellectual ability to analyse and critically appraise complex information (numerical, research, findings from consultation) to support the drawing of conclusions and supporting the presentation of findings in a compelling way.
- To undertake a range of performance reporting in support of projects and programmes across the Council as required, using analytical tools and producing standardised reports and charts.
- Work on projects under the guidance of senior performance analysts and more senior roles.
- Support the development of wider analytics context, tools and techniques.
- To actively develop and improve performance systems (including the build of a balanced scorecard approach that can allow data drill through and visualisation at lower levels), using knowledge and experience to support managers to take ownership of data and data quality
