Job description
Our client is a custom PC build company that specialise in gaming build computers for their customers worldwide.
The role
Our client is looking for a self-motivated, passionate builder who has intermediate to advanced level of PC building experience with strong cable management experience. The builder should be capable of working on computer building and repairs with minimal supervision. Each unit needs to be put together in a timely manner with quality workmanship. The builder will also be responsible for repairs of existing builds.
Key accountabilities
- Perform installation, set-up, testing, and assembly of desktop computer hardware and software.
- Perform hardware/software troubleshooting tasks
- Perform building level routine maintenance & repairs for computer hardware and software as necessary.
- Hold responsibility for quality of builds, parts management and packaging
- Assist with ordering, receipt, and distribution of technology related supplies.
- Maintain a 5S working environment.
- Be involved in lean ideas and continuous improvement.
- Keep workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
- Assist with Customer Service duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Skills & experience
Experience Required:
- Intermediate to advanced computer component knowledge
- Prior computer/systems building experience is essential
- Advanced experience with Windows and PC hardware
- Assembly line experience is desired
- Capable of fixing return systems
Skills required:
- Strong passion for PC gaming and hardware
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to methodically test for usability and performance issues.
- Flexible attitude; should be open to work overtime if needed
- Team player, strong team ethic, willingness to help where required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
