Role Overview: As an Accounts Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger function within the finance department. In addition, you will provide occasional cover for reception duties. This role offers a unique blend of financial responsibilities and front-facing tasks, making it an exciting opportunity for someone seeking variety in their daily work routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Prepare and issue payment runs in a timely manner.
• Handle supplier queries and discrepancies, resolving them efficiently to maintain positive relationships.
• Assist with month-end procedures,
• Provide reception cover during periods of absence, welcoming visitors and managing incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to occasionally assist with reception duties as required.
