The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are currently on-boarding teachers and mentors to join their tutoring team for the full academic year in Bedfordshire.
On this occasion, the tutor will be providing 1:1 support to a pupil in Bedfordshire that is currently seeking education other than at school. The mentor will deliver Maths and English support and will be expected to conduct a baseline assessment to assess the student's ability to deliver the curriculum they deem suitable.
The pupil has a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD and is unable to access a school environment. The student is working below age-related expectations and is following the Early Years curriculum. An EYFS specialist with experience working with SEND would be essential in order to bridge gaps in their knowledge and progress their learning.
The support will be taking place at the young person's home or in a local library on a part-time basis (up to 15 hours per week).
