Job Title: Plumber/Maintenance Officer

Location: East London

Hours: 36 hours per week, full-time

Salary range: £34,399 to £36,384 per year (including London Weighting)

Contract type: Permanent

We seek to appoint an experienced and qualified Plumber / Maintenance Officer to carry out general plumbing works and ad hoc maintenance work on all parts of the College Estate. You will need to be able to competent address problems with toilet facilities and carry out repairs to prevent further issues arising. The successful candidate will also have general experience on dealing with heating systems. The post holder will work for a multifaceted Estates Department and be an intricate member of the department.

The post holder will adopt a flexible approach to working hours and be responsible for delivering the day-to-day maintenance and servicing tasks for the heating and plumbing systems plus general works to maintain the College Estate.

The successful candidate will possess a good verbal and written English communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience working with plumbing and heating systems and general maintenance tasks. You will also have practical knowledge of Health and Safety and experience in working as part of a team that delivers a high level of customer service.

There will be opportunities for you to expand your knowledge and experience by working with our existing team and participate in planned training activities.
