IT Support Engineer - GLW Feeds - Shepshed
Description
Robert Half have partnered with GLW Feeds on a retained basis to recruit and IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis to be based onsite on their Loughborough site.
Established in 1873, GLW Feeds are one of the largest independent, family-owned livestock and specialty feed manufacturers in the UK.
They provide concentrates, custom meals, blends, moist feeds and straights together with minerals, fats, milk powders, silage additives, fertilisers, grass and cereal seeds too. They also offer a range of services including calf-rearing and weighing, silage, mineral and dung analysis, herd management, and feed plans.
Key Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all end users
- User account setup and maintenance (AD+AAD+O365)
- IT Induction and face to face support and training where needed
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end user devices (Windows clients, Android & iPhone mobiles, printers, projectors etc)
- Use of Freshdesk helpdesk
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalate more complex problems (1st, 2nd and 3rd Level support)
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge base
- Provide advice to end users when required
- Work within defined Standard Operating Procedures
The preferred candidate:
- Proven experience in an end user facing IT Support role providing in depth 2nd Line technical support
- Windows OS (10-11)
- Windows Server 2012 R2 up until current
- Comprehensive understanding of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Active Directory
- Azure Active Directory
- Running AD + AAD in a hybrid setup
- Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams & OneDrive and broader M365 applications).
- Understand the principles of VLANs, STP, SSH, QoS
- Excellent working knowledge of troubleshooting commands and tools within Windows OS
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable experience/Qualifications
- CCNA R/S, MCSE/MCSA/AZ-800, AZ-900 certified
- Experience of working in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Experience of working in a family-owned business
Package/Salary
- £32,000 - £36,000 basic salary
