Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in your career? A well-established, leading animal hospital in Southeast London has an amazing opportunity for a Clinical Director to join their team.

Our client is an RCVS accredited small animal hospital situated in a peaceful area in South East London. As the Clinical Director, you will work on a full-time basis primarily at the hospital and at 6 small, local branches. Your role will encompass a blend of management duties and clinical work to meet the business needs.

Responsibilities include driving the progression and success of the business, promoting excellent clinical care for patients, and leading a team of veterinary surgeons to ensure high clinical standards. Your clinical responsibilities will be divided between the hospital and branches, allowing you to both consult and perform clinical procedures. Collaboration with the Practice Manager is crucial for ensuring smooth teamwork across the support team, nursing team, and vet team.

The hospital provides a range of services, including first opinion and mid-tier referral services, with out-of-hours coverage during weekends, nights, and bank holidays. Impressive facilities include 5 consulting rooms, separate dog and cat waiting areas, dedicated dog and cat wards, an exotics ward, specialised surgical equipment, dental suites, ultrasonography and radiography suites, and a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory.

Joining a skilled team of 30 vets, 30 nurses, and a strong support team, you'll contribute to managing the caseload of the hospital and branches. The team holds certificates in Ophthalmology, Oncology, Imaging, Surgery, Exotics, Internal Medicine, and Dentistry, providing a breadth of clinical expertise across various disciplines. The nursing team is experienced, offering a diverse range of skillsets.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of first-opinion veterinary care, the ability to inspire and lead a team, and a passion for delivering top-quality veterinary care and customer service. Experience in line managing a team is essential, and an advanced certificate is desirable but not essential. If you're a team player ready to support your colleagues, apply now for this fantastic opportunity!
