Control Engineer

We are seeking for a Control Engineer who will work with Maintenance and Production to trace machine faults to resolution and to develop optimised controls to improve operational efficiency We believe in investing in our employees' growth and offer career development opportunities to help you reach your full potential. This role that requires a wide range of skills to deliver and drive lean improvements through great engagement with our talented people.

Your tasks

Review concept specifications for adherence to Brose standards, plant and high uptime process requirements

Work with customer team, plant production, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to optimize manufacturing processes and to support production breakdowns and working with maintenance engineers to resolve issues

Ability to write and fault find PLC programs, siemens S7, TIA and to modify supplied PLC programs to the best effect for the Plant

To continuously improve control systems for cycle time and reliability

To share knowledge, train and develop other support functions i.e. Maintenance Engineers

To setting standards for programming logic on PLC and Robotic systems

Maintain latest files on back up systems

Work with nominated suppliers in detail to achieve an efficient maintainable process

Your Profile

HNC or Equivalent with Electronics/ Electrical or Engineering background

3-5 work experience in similar role

Understanding of Production requirements, Siemens S7 and TIA PLC programs

To communicate effectively at all levels

Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Able to travel through Brose group as required
