JOB TITLE: Temporary Technical Support Assistant - Immediate start

LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset

HOURLY RATE: £12.00 - £14.00 P/H (DOE)

HOURS: Monday - Friday (Week 1 - 8:30am - 5:00pm / Week 2 - 10:00am - 6:30pm)

THE ROLE: Office Angels are working with a dynamic and knowledgeable business in Taunton who are a UK based Managed Services provider that specialise in IT Solutions and support across a variety of sectors. You will be joining a relaxed, fun and friendly team working within modern offices. This role requires a key focus on customer care and completing each job to the highest standard, in a timely manner. The successful candidate must have experience and an interest within IT or technical support or hold an IT qualification and seeking experience. This is a temporary role for a minimum of 6 months therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to user software or hardware queries via email and telephone


• Support users through the required steps to resolve the issue


• Escalate to the relevant team if the issue cannot be resolved


• Update the ticketing system, ensuring all notes have been logged with the required actions


• Willingness to help, support and offer excellent service to customers and colleagues

KEY SKILLS:

• Confident & professional telephone manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Organisational and prioritisation skills that can adapt to changing priorities with multi-tasking


• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data to reach conclusions


• Exceptional customer service skills including experience of dealing with diverse customer groups


• Ability to use online research tools and internal documentation to find resolutions


• Ability to remain calm under pressure during challenging times


• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships

DESIRABLE SKILLS (not essential):

• Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).


• Using a service desk ticketing system to raise and manage service desk tickets.


• Using remote management software to support end-users.


• Supporting & administering Microsoft 365 via the 365 Admin Center.


• Supporting IT infrastructures including LAN & wireless networking.


• Supporting desktops and servers across Windows & Mac OS.
