Impact expected
The Fleet Workforce Manager will be responsible for ensuring we have the right people in the right places at all times to manage our fleet operations effectively. This role involves owning the relationship with the supplier of our contract drivers, as well as forecasting the schedules for all our full-time operational staff.
Challenges they will own
- Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of all shifts across various teams, ensuring optimal staffing levels at all times.
- Manage the relationship with the supplier of contract drivers, ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of qualified personnel.
- Oversee the allocation and scheduling of full-time operational staff, balancing workload and operational needs.
- Implement and maintain scheduling systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of shift management.
- Monitor shift operations, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring smooth operation across all teams.
- Collaborate with other managers and departments to align staffing needs with overall operational goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures regarding workforce management.
- Provide leadership and support to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
What we are looking for in our candidate
Essential
- Proven experience in shift management, workforce planning, or a related field, preferably within the automotive or technology sectors.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage complex scheduling requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building strong relationships with suppliers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing operational needs.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
Desirable
- Familiarity with workforce management software and scheduling tools is desirable.
