Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Provide an excellent level of customer service to our Trust’s staff and students.
• IT systems support across a cluster of schools.
• Support an active ITIL based helpdesk.
• Support a wide range of hardware and software solutions across a variety of teaching and learning environments.
• Be part of large and exciting new IT projects across the Trust and in your cluster of schools.

The training you will be getting

Apprenticeship training will be delivered in a state-of-the-art classroom environment, from the EMA Digital Hub on Siddals Road, Derby.

The qualification has core knowledge elements, before branching out into 3 pathways, which are as follows:

IT Support Technician
Network Technician
Digital Communications Technician

The employer and training provider will agree on which is the most appropriate pathway, and this will influence the project as part of the end-point assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The successful apprentice will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 4 Network Engineer programme upon completion of the apprenticeship. The trust are hopeful that apprentices will stay on after the apprenticeship to continue building their careers within IT.
