Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director - Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to lead their team.
This is a full time role working 4 days per week with 4 x 10 hour shifts. There is no OOH and currently no weekends however the practice are considering opening up on a Saturday in the future.

The role
- Full time role. Full time offering 4 day week with 4 x 10 hour shifts. The role offers a great work life balance with no OOH or weekends.
- This is a clinical lead role and the Vet will be responsible for managing the team as well as performing consultations and surgeries. The Vet will be responsible for the smooth running of the practice, ensuring the team are working together collaboratively. They will be responsible for organising the rota, and also any complaints.
- The role offers the opportunity to mentor and train others.

- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
- The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

- They have a team of 6 Vets and 6 Nurses.
- They are equipped with diagnostics including new ultrasound, digital radiography, in house laboratory, two theatres, dental room and separate dog and cat kennel.
- The pride themselves on offering case continuity and maintaining strong clients relationships. They also offer home visits.
- They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Who are they looking for
- The practice are looking for a Vet who has a wealth of small animal medicine experience and someone who is confident in handling a varied caseload and situations.
- Previous management or leadership experience would be advantageous.
- They are looking for a passionate and dedicated Vet who enjoy supporting others.
- They are open to all levels of experience and can support a new / recently graduated Vet.
- Driving license is required for home visits.
- The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
- The Vet will work well as part of a team.
Package
- Salary: Up to £75,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 7.6 weeks annual leave incl bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
- CPD: £1,250 allowance with 40 hours paid
- Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
