ON TRACK YOUTH WORKER

£23,893 - £25,979
(£12,915 - £14,042 pro rata)

20 hours per week – One Year Fixed Term
(contract may be extended)

The On Track project is looking for a committed and motivated worker to join their team. As a Youth Worker/Sports Leader you to have a working record of experience coaching and be qualified to NGB Level 2 standard in at least one of the traditional sports or have a nationally recognised Youth Work qualification.

On Track is Rugby Borough Council’s social inclusion project which delivers services for young people in the Borough. Currently the project provides mentoring, alternative education programme, Planning and Preparation Assessment (PPA), Sports Leaders training, multi sports and recreational (Youth Club) opportunities for young people and pupils aged 8 upwards.

The post holder will be required to work both within schools and on community, based programmes during the year. Services to schools will focus on the delivery of multi sports during lunchtimes as well as curriculum and after school programmes. Youth Worker/Sports Leaders will be required to work on community-based programmes in youth clubs, parks and other open spaces delivering various activities such as basketball, fitness, and personal training alongside mentoring.

Applicants must be able to work during school hours (term time) and during the day, evenings, and weekends throughout school holidays. Some flexibility exists within this. Your own transport would be beneficial but is not essential. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring system.

The successful candidate will be provided with set working hours but may be required to work additional hours at peak times.
