The successful candidate for the above role will transfer to an EPMC contract. i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will be administered on the EPMC grading structure with the associated terms and conditions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The EPMC Process Leader is a front-line leader within the production operations team, manage Team Leaders and Associates within the manufacturing area under their direct control.
The Process Leader will be oversee the fostering team-work, driving continuous improvement and will be a role model for our creators code values. Alongside leading their own teams, they will work with other departments and will oversee the improving of the SQDCPE metrics within their area.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for achieving and driving the improvement of SQDCPE metrics within the manufacturing area under their direct control
- Supervise, lead and coach Team Leaders in continuous improvement and achieving their SQDCPE metrics
- Drive constraint management and ensure bottlenecks are identified and improved upon
- Work with departments such as maintenance, engineering, quality and other stakeholders to improve performance of SQDCPE metrics within their manufacturing area
- Ensuring continuous improvement within the area of responsibility and assisting the associates in continuous improvement events and activities
- Reporting on shift performance and SQDCPE metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Lead and coach Team Leaders to ensure that they and the facility are production ready to meet Launch Milestones
- Ensure that their area operates to the Integrated Production System (IPS) principles and standards, using the latest Quality Operating System (QOS) techniques
- Ensuring the Safety Operating Systems (SOS)are met during all stages of Launch, Rate of climb and steady state production
- Support employee attendance initiatives and manage absence control activities such as counselling, capability and disciplinary procedures
- Implement Company Policy on pay and benefits including administration tasks.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Understanding and good knowledge of safety processes and safe systems of work
- A high level of motivation and initiative
- Computer literacy is essential
- Experience of people resource planning is advantageous
- Ability to interrogate and interpret data, required for problem solving
- A flexible approach to facilitate frequent change and to ensure efficient running of the operation
- Ability to use planning and timing tools to deliver on-going projects
- Good understanding of process flow
- Evidence of leadership ability and interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading and coordinating large groups of people in high volume or high complex processes
- Knowledge of Propulsion manufacturing would be an advantage
- Knowledge of production tools and metrics
- Understanding of IPS/ CI/ Quality Tools & Problem Solving /CCAR process/ PDCA/ Finance and Budget control would be an advantage
