Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Act as the first point of contact for apprenticeship enquiries – face to face, telephone and email.
- Supporting the learner journey from applying for an apprenticeship, inviting to interview and obtaining an apprenticeship.
- Work closely with the School Liaison team to attend promotional events such as careers fairs, school assemblys, job center events to support recruitment targets where required.
- To assist with the delivery of interactive and engaging presentations to prospective and existing students to promote the value of apprenticeships.
- Liaise with College staff to arrange internal interview dates.
- Prepare interview packs for all apprenticeship areas, ensuring all paperwork is correct.
- Telephone candidates to confirm appointment and request CVs.
- Responsible for adding suitable candidates to the apprenticeship database and chasing for a CV if not received.
- Logging apprenticeship start paperwork and distributing to the IS team on a daily basis.
- Once trained, providing CV support and advice to students within High Schools and the College.
- Processing applications received for apprenticeship, issuing letters and updating the College database systems.
- Providing cover to the Apprenticeship Hub Co-ordinator as required (liaising with employer vacancies, sending and checking CVs, creating presentations, liaising with external contacts to arrange events etc.)
- Assist in marketing of the apprenticeship hub by maintain vacancy displays.
- Admin support e.g. preparing resources, issuing reports, collecting post, scanning, issuing cheques etc.
- Working in the EPA team, making sure all queries and uploads are done in a timely manner.
- Organise meetings with EPAO’s for catch-ups.
- Minute meetings held with EPAO’s and assessors.
- Organise weekly catch-ups with the EPA team, running through the progress of students.
- Attending once a month managers meetings to update of any changes.
- Updating managers/assessors of any new changes from EPAO.
- Registrations with all apprentice’s on the various EPAO systems that are split with the EPA team.
- Update of admin for BIL and withdrawn learners on EPAO systems and master spreadsheet.
- Admin changes to EPA dates EPAO systems and master spreadsheet.
- Submission of gateway criteria.
- Submission and uploading of evidence from assessors for each apprentice, where required to support the EPA coordinator.
- Admin associated with resits.
- Raising of PO numbers and dealing with invoices from EPAO’s, working with the finance team at the college.
- Completing Monthly updates of new apprentice starts to master spreadsheet.
- Admin associated with completion of EPA’s, results etc for I.S. audit requirements and to provide evidence to I.S. for closure of apprentice.
- EPA room bookings.
- To undertake any other duties at the request of the Head of Faculty/Centre that are commensurate with the role.
The training you will be getting
- Business Administrator Level 3 qualification -
- Training to take place one day per week at NSCG.
