REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. You should have a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers. Displaying a polite and professional telephone manner and exhibiting proper email etiquette are crucial. A logical and investigative mindset, coupled with problem-solving tenacity, will set you apart. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with a strong work ethic, are highly valued. You should be comfortable working independently and possess a good working knowledge of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and credit control. Experience with Sage 50 Accounts and the ability to start work within a short notice are advantageous. Knowledge of the Construction sector would be an advantage.

THE ROLE

As an integral member of the team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager. Your role as an Accounts Assistant will be diverse, covering various aspects of financial operations. You will raise sales invoices and keep the sales ledger up to date. Chase any outstanding debt and allocate incoming cash. You will process purchase invoices through to payment of invoices. Reconcile statements and deal with any invoice queries. Other duties will include Payroll, collating information of hours worked and ensuring timesheets and accurate. Costing jobs and general administrative duties.

COMPANY BENEFITS

This company is easily accessible by public transport and offers onsite parking for convenience. The role is part-time, with a total of 25 hours per week working in an office environment. Company pension scheme and good training opportunities. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. £12.00 – £13.00 per hour.
