Role Overview

We have a vacancy for a Stock and Systems Manager at our flagship Web eFulfilment facility in Rockingham, Corby. This is a key position to further develop the successful relationship between Wincanton and our customers and to enhance the service offering - this role will also play a vital part in onboarding a large new customer over the coming months.

An integral player in the wider management team reporting directly into the Assistant General Manager where culture, well-being and operational excellence are paramount the role will encompass (but is not limited too) the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

• Direct leadership of a team including daily management and personal development plans
• Management and planning of Perpetual Inventory / cyclical counting and stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy 
• Creation of systems driven management reports and reports writing within the WMS
• Maintenance of the Warehouse Management System to retain high levels of service.
• Control and manage systems ‘housekeeping’ through Project management of downtime and Operational disruption
• Management of the site’s and the network’s system’s housekeeping, liability and integrity.
• Management of team’s across different departments, to make sure the correct skill and knowledge bases are in place.
• Responsibility for the site utilisation and stock levels to ensure maximum efficiencies.
• Manage and control the flow of stock into alternative satellite sites as and when required with full inventory traceability
• Make sure the network stock listing is controlled and the right stock is transferred around the network.
• Work with the customer on network and site projects, new system platforms and changes to existing platforms.
• Collating and providing statistical system information in several formats to meet the business needs.
• Maintenance and amendments of the physical warehouse layout and storage media to accommodate growth and expansion

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is required.
• Shared User environment experience is required. 
• Will have excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate and influence in an open and honest manner with colleagues at all levels
• Must be able to demonstrate the commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to change management and influence site culture.
• Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
• Experience of SAP Globe, Manhattan desirable but not essential.
