We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our information systems and data.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will also be responsible for managing a team of security professionals.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement information security policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Manage a team of security professionals
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits
- Develop and deliver security awareness training
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies
Requirements: - Significant experience within the information security field with relevant certification/ qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials, PSN)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally experience of working within or for a public sector organisation
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, and a Standard DBS disclosure will be required.
