Permanent Consult-Only Veterinary Surgeon - Cramlington, Northumberland

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Cramlington for a Permanent Consult-Only Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on weekends only.

The duties will mainly consist of consulting but there will be 1 theatre day per week. You will need to be confident and competent working sole charge as this will be required on occasion. You will have the ability to create trusting and dependable relationships with your clients and will provide the gold standard of care to the practice's patients and clients. If you wish to develop your skills in a particular area, the practice offers a generous CPD allowance and support in order to make this happen and bring new areas to the practice.

This role is part time for weekends only. The Saturday shifts will be from 9am to 6pm and Sunday shifts will be from 10am to 4pm. There will be some ad hoc cover required.

• Practice provides 15 minute consultations
• Dedicated surgery day

• Team: 4 vets, 8 RVNs, 3 SVNs and a supportive non-clinical team

• You will be comfortable with routine surgeries
• You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
• You will be passionate about all aspects of your veterinary work
• You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
• You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
• You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
• You will be a strong team player
• Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported
