J oinery CAD Technician/Designer Position Available

Company Overview: I'm working with a forward-thinking specialist manufacturing company producing high-end quality joinery products for the commercial, hospitality, and residential construction markets. I'm currently employing for a Joinery CAD Technician/Designer within the team.

Position: Joinery CAD Technician/Designer.
Working Hours: 8am – 5pm Mon–Thurs & 8am – 2:30pm Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with our Design and Production teams to create designs for bespoke free-standing and fitted furniture.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, capable of producing 2D/3D technical drawings for joinery manufacture.
• Prepare production information, Bills of Materials (BOM), and cut lists based on drawings, ensuring readiness for manufacture in the workshop.
• Provide design and manufacture information to the workshop team, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects, and third parties to ensure project requirements are met.
• Demonstrate passion for joinery/furniture design with an in-depth technical knowledge of furniture, joinery, and cabinetry construction.
• Display precision, thoroughness, and consistent attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience working on high-end bespoke joinery and furniture design.
• Ability to understand client needs and translate them into practical solutions.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of working independently and managing workload effectively.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding project progress and any issues that may arise.
• Practical workshop experience and/or strong working knowledge of the bespoke joinery sector is desirable.
• Knowledge of metalwork is desirable.
• A degree in Furniture or Product Design is desirable.
