Job description

A confident Teaching Assistant with experience in Key Stage 2 is required for Year 5 at an excellent school in Manchester. The role is 4 days a week, starting on Monday 2nd September, and potentially increasing to 5 days by half term. This is an ongoing role which will be for the full academic year.

This is a varied and responsible role where you will be required to work with groups across all curriculum areas and all ability levels. Excellent curriculum knowledge and an enthusiasm for leading groups is essential. You will need to be a confident practitioner with strong communication skills.

This TA role will include:

• Leading groups in core and foundation subject activities
• Making assessments
• Preparing resources
• Supporting individuals through targeted interventions
• Planning, preparing and evaluating activities, in conjunction with the class teacher

You must have:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• 2 years references
• UK classroom experience
• Relevant qualification, e.g. TA qualification or subject degree such as English
