Job description

Location: We operate a hybrid working model and fully support flexibility with colleagues already based across the UK working from home and linked to one of our core locations in Newport, London, Titchfield (Fareham), Manchester or Darlington.
Salary: £55,803 - £67,270 plus up to £7,500 skills allowance
Working Patterns: All our vacancies are offered as a flexible option of Full time, Part time, Flexible working, Job Share

This role will lead a newly established team, integrated alongside a third party delivery team focused on the launch & ongoing service management of a major ONS system that underpins our Economic statistics outputs, widely used across government and beyond. In this position you will play a pivotal role in the design, build, support and improvement of new and existing digital products and platforms.

As an experienced Software professional, you'll have proven experience working on complex, enterprise-scale systems, and proven ability to design, code, test and document complex work in line with agreed principles and design patterns.

You'll have an aptitude for technical leadership, able to act as a technical subject matter expert and guide others to best solutions & approaches for the organisation; you'll also be happy working collaboratively, participating in peer reviews of others work, sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues in their development.

Finally, you've got hands-on experience with at least half of the following stack:
-Python
-Typescript
-AWS
-Containers
-OpenSearch
