Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative and highly committed teaching team at the recently opened Free School, Bluecoat Trent Academy. We invite applications for the post of Teacher of Religious Studies from outstanding, enthusiastic and successful teachers with a proven ability to teach inspirational lessons to our students. Interest from Early Careers Teachers is also welcomed.
We are now in our third year of opening therefore our staff team is still comparatively small. The successful applicant will therefore have the opportunity to work closely with SLT and colleagues from across the Trust, so a desire to collaborate is welcomed. Equally as important will be the aspiration to be part of our visionary staff team and growing school community. We are looking for teachers who have the ambition to shape the school into an outstanding provider. Candidates should consider the school’s ethos and values to ensure these align with their own. This is an exciting time to join Bluecoat Trent as we design the curriculum for our first Key Stage 4 cohort and prepare to move into our brand new school premises.

The role will be based at the Trust’s Bluecoat Trent Academy but the post holders may at any time be required to support or work at any of the sites within Archway Learning Trust.
Archway Learning Trust, previously Bluecoat Academies Trust was formed in April 2014 as a result of the very long and successful history of Bluecoat Academy. The Trust now comprises of Bluecoat Aspley Academy, Bluecoat Sixth Form, Bluecoat Wollaton Academy, Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, Bluecoat Primary Academy, Bluecoat Bentinck Primary Academy, The Nottingham Emmanuel School and Sixth Form, Bluecoat Trent Academy, The Long Eaton School, Lees Brook Academy, Alvaston Moor Academy and the Bluecoat SCITT Alliance (School Centred Initial Teacher Training).
The successful candidate will be committed to the students and academy life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students with whom they are required to work.
