Food Manufacturing Supervisor

30,000 – 35,000 p/a DOE, North Chailey, Monday to Friday, 7am – 4:30pm, 28 days holiday, Christmas shutdown, free parking.

The Role

We are thrilled to be working with our long standing client and supporting their search for a Food Manufacturing Supervisor / Factory Supervisor / Production Lead. This role will manage a team of production operatives, overseeing the day to day running and output of the factory. Due to the nature of the product, this is a tightly controlled environment with emphasis on health and safety, food hygiene and working to strict guidelines. The successful candidate will have come from a previous food manufacturing environment in a leadership role. Key duties will include:

• Leading the team ensuring deadlines are met and the team are equipped with all necessary ingredients, equipment and packaging required, liaising with internal departments where required
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are being monitored and adhered to at all times
• Motivate, manage, evaluate and improve the team and working environment in an ongoing manner

Requirements The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role within food production in a factory environment (not catering/chef/hospitality), demonstrating excellent leadership skills. You will need to be organised, positive, dependable and highly responsible. You will need exposure to food safety/HACCP level 2, COSHH awareness and ideally have a forklift licence too. Due to the rural location of this position, own transport is essential.

30,000 – 35,000 depending on experience
