A long established, UK based claims and dispute resolution consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantum Consultant who can carry out claims and quantum analysis based from their regional office in Darlington, County Durham.
The successful candidate for this Senior Quantum Consultant job will likely come from a Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management background, having gained experience with a contractor or similar specialist claims and quantum consultancy. They will have experience of working closely with in-house and/or external legal teams to manage the adjudication process.

Flexible remote working is supported on the basis that candidates understand that there will need to be regular weekly visits to the office for specific meetings and tasks.
The nature of working within a specialist claims and disputes consultancy in Darlington, County Durham such as this, is that you will be used on a variety of assignments (sometimes concurrently) over the course of a year. Therefore, as part of your role you will be expected to work with a variety of clients from client organisations to contractors and subcontractors, across all sectors of the construction industry. You will gain exposure to claims negotiation on live projects, through to advising and preparing for dispute resolution proceedings such as adjudication, arbitration and/or litigation.
This is a senior consultant role, which will report directly into the Director(s) of the business. The expectation for this role is that the successful candidate should be willing and able to manage the majority of each client’s day-to-day requirements with regards to contract administration, claims and adjudication work.
On larger, more complex dispute proceedings you will often be expected to work as part of a larger team of staff carrying out a variety of tasks, often centred around quantum analysis and report writing whilst supporting an expert.
You will on occasions have junior staff to manage and mentor as part of your role.
