A fantastic Specialist School in Swindon that caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs are looking for a qualified PE Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a small setting for children who have a range of mental health difficulties, including trauma, emotional challenges, depression and anxiety, alongside other needs such as ADHD and Autism.
As the schools PE Teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting and encouraging physical fitness and a healthy life skill among the students. You will help educate them about the mental benefits of physical activity and foster confidence and self-esteem in their own ability. The school have a big focus on inclusivity in the classroom, so be prepared to adapt your approach to suit the needs of each student, whilst also promoting teamwork and social integration among the students.
This position is available to NQT, ECT and experienced teachers. Previous experience working with students with additional needs would be beneficial, but a passion for SEN is essential! This is an exciting and unique opportunity with scope to progress within the school so apply now!
