Position Overview:
My Client are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of 150 residential units in West Sussex. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our timber frame housing development. With a vast landbank, there is an abundance of future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers to maintain high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Liaise with project stakeholders including architects, engineers, and local authorities to address any issues and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor progress and report regularly to senior management, addressing any challenges or deviations from the project plan.
Requirements:
- Valid SMSTS
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale residential construction projects, preferably within the timber frame & traditional sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction regulations and industry best practices.
