Our Role : Qualified EYFS Teacher & Senior Leader

We are seeking to appoint an exemplary and talented Early Years Leader, with a proven track record of excellent teaching, high standards and the ability to passionately lead and motivate staff to drive improvement. As Leader of Early Years, you will be committed to ensuring your team deliver exceptional and memorable experiences from a child’s very first moment in school.

All applicants must be a qualified teacher, with at least 2 years’ experience within Nursery or Reception and ideally some recent exposure as a middle leader; whether as a subject or phase leader.

This is a full-time, class-based position as an Early Years Teacher and EYFS Leader (Nursery/Reception) with weekly leadership release time. The start date is 1st September 2024.  

Your focus will be to support and drive the CPD and development of the teaching and support staff within the phase as well as ensure high outcomes for all our children; through exemplary teaching, data analysis and intervention.

We are an incredibly supportive and experienced staff team; creating the perfect environment for an aspiring Senior Leader.

Our School : Cuffley School The school is located within Cuffley, a large Village surrounded by the Green Belt. The school site is a short walk from the Cuffley Station, a 30m train journey from Central London.

Our high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour, ensure that we consistently achieve excellent results - often well above national and Hertfordshire average. We are proud that our Year 1 phonics screening check results were recently recognised as being in the top 5% of the country.

Our school is at the heart of the local community and the successful candidate must be able to promote the positive and caring ethos of our school. We are a school where the whole child matters; ensuring that children’s learning is supplemented by frequent extra-curricular opportunities such as external visitors and school trips. Our Forest School accreditation also ensures that our children get ample opportunities to learn both inside, and outside, of the classroom.

Cuffley School is a foundation,two-form primary and nursery school with approximately 450 pupils on roll. We have a warm and friendly ethos, where learning to learn is at the heart of what we do.
