This position for an Accounts Assistant involves assisting the accounting and finance team in the Pulborough area. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of financial records, processing payments, and undertaking clerical tasks.

Description
- Assisting in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Supporting the accounting team in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Processing invoices, transactions, expenses and other financial records for your department.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
- Preparing statutory accounts.
- Managing petty cash transactions.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel.
- Excellent numeracy skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of an accounting system.
