Job description

We are currently recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in KS1, providing support to vulnerable pupils with SEMH needs.

Role:
- A large, warm and welcoming Primary School based in Manchester are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide support across KS1 to vulnerable pupils with social emotional and mental health.
- The role would be to work full time Monday - Friday, the working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting vulnerable children with SEMH
- Working in small groups and 1:1
- Work alongside the SENCO and Class Teachers
- Adhere to school safeguarding policy

Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children within KS1 / School setting
- Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEMH
- Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
- A passion for working with young children with SEMH.
- Understanding of working with vulnerable children.
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled at working in a team, following direction, reliable and punctual with good attendance.
- DBS on update register
- References for last 2 years work history
- Up to date CV
