3 months contract with a Berkshire based Local Authority
Job Summary:
This post is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient business support to Adult Social Care Operations and People Commissioning.
The Business Support team provides an initial contact service to all clients and internal and external agencies and provides administrative support services to social workers OT s and management.
The post holder will contribute to effective recording and reporting against Adult Social Care (ASC) objectives and activity.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
To provide confidential administrative support to Adult Social Care Operations and People Commissioning.
Monitoring and action tasks in ASC inboxes and updating spreadsheets.
Contribute to the effective development of the locality based operational model of social care and is open to feedback and seeks out personal opportunities to learn and grow.
To carry out project work and assist in the preparation of research material and collation of data for operational management and statistics as relevant to the post.
To support services with meeting support where appropriate including agenda preparation organizing meetings taking and preparing minutes and action points.
To undertake a broad range of business support functions including maintaining cost centre budget spreadsheets raising invoices to recoup monies and coordinating monthly financial returns.
To provide support in meeting statutory duties including Safeguarding Hospital Social Work Team Commissioning Discharge to Assess and IT enquiries specific to ASC systems and databases.
coordinate the response for Freedom of Information (FOI) Complaints MP and Members Enquiries across the adult social care department.
To provide advice and guidance to internal and external customers / members of the public on processes and enquiries in writing and verbally.
To provide input in ASC Panel process and prepare note update and disseminate outcomes for over 25k support packages.
Plan prioritise and deliver allocated work within agreed processes and frameworks including coordinating work of others.
To undertake any other roles that are commensurate with the role.
Essential Experience Required:
We would like someone who has experience of working within local authorities and preferably with experience of working in adult social care.
Experience of working within a social care environment with vulnerable people.
Experience of working with a range of partners in social care provision.
Able to use office software suites including Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) client information systems and flexible ways of working (e.g. video conferencing remote working).
Additional information to note:
Hybrid 2 days per week required in the office.
