Lead Product Manager - Picking

Tesco Careers

Location

Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire | United Kingdom

Job description

About the role

I am accountable to build and run a team of Product Managers to create and articulate a clear strategic direction for how we improve our in store picking processes. With over 20,000 users in over 1,500 sites picking 1.2 million customer orders a week, this role is at the heart of the Tesco online strategy. I am expected to represent my product to senior leadership, know my customers and area of the business inside and out and have a clear understanding of all my key metrics and product performance. As I progress in this role it becomes less about the "doing" itself, but the ability to empower and grow the team to deliver value - though initially I may retain some accountability for writing user stories and creating backlogs.
