Life on the team

Location - Derby

We are looking for a Security Cleared (or able to pass security clearance) Infrastructure Analyst who will join a team supporting a major account across Microsoft environments. The role will be Hybrid, working 2/3 times per week at our customer site in Derby, the rest remotely.

What you'll do

The ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Managed Services, providing specialised support across Windows Server platforms. They should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate the ability to make key technical decisions on their own accord. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone, whilst having the ability to assess and prioritise tasks without close supervision is essential. A willingness to learn new technologies and drive continuous improvement.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms

• Offering solutions and workarounds to incidents/problems

• Working to SLA’s and deadlines

• Review of services and application delivery

• Prioritising and managing several tasks at a single time

• Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike

• Keep up to date with advancements in technology

• Work with a variety of customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements

• Providing Remote On-Call Out of Hours Support

• Willingness to Travel (Infrequent)

What you'll need

The Candidate should have experience in the following:

• Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP and Kerberos

• DHCP

• Microsoft Windows Server (2012, 2016 & 2019) – including server core

• Windows 10

• Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.)

• Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms

• Azure AD technologies including Azure AD Connect, ADFS, Azure SSO and PIM

• Understands the interdependency between Active Directory and DNS

• PKI and Certificate Management

• Microsoft Identity Management (FIM/MIM)

• Quest Tools (Active Roles, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager, InTrust, Password Manager)

• Anti-virus technologies (McAfee ePO, ENS, VSE, HIPS and DLP)

• Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.)

Desirable

• Windows Server 2016 & 2019

• Exposure to Citrix technologies

• Exposure to Virtualisation technologies

• Exposure to Messaging technologies
