Headteacher

The Fallibroome Academy

Location

Cheshire East, Cheshire | United Kingdom

Job description

The Fallibroome Academy is looking for a new Headteacher - a leader with vision, resilience and a strong ability to ignite excellence to lead this successful and popular school in the next phase of its development.

The current Headteacher is planning to retire after leading and delivering significant improvement over many years. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the great work that has been done with an established and high performing leadership team whilst also giving the opportunity to create even stronger pupil outcomes and life chances. You would also play a key role in growth of The Fallibroome Trust.

The Fallibroome Academy is very highly regarded in the local community and across the region. It has a strong reputation for academic excellence and is consistently oversubscribed. The school is also recognised for its exceptional work in a number of extracurricular areas including a strong performing arts base. It is one of a small number of schools nationally to hold the Platinum Artsmark Award for the excellence of its provision in the performing arts.

Pupils have good relationships with each other and with staff. They are motivated to learn and demonstrate excellent, positive attitudes. The school also displays deep care for its less advantaged pupils and works tirelessly to remove barriers to learning.

You will have the support of a committed staff and an effective Governing Body who are dedicated to providing high quality education in an inspirational learning environment.

The Fallibroome Academy was the founder member of The Fallibroome Trust, a ten-school, cross-phase, Cheshire based MAT with a reputation for excellence. You will be fully supported by the Trust CEO, the school improvement team and a central services team who deliver IT, Finance, Facilities and HR under the leadership of a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer and work collaboratively with an experienced School Business Manager.

There are extensive opportunities for peer support and professional development with colleagues throughout the Trust and its networks.

How to Apply

We ask all applicants to apply through Face-Ed; the Trust's recruitment software. This enables us to carry out safer recruitment checks seamlessly.

For ease, we suggest:

  1. Face-Ed is cloud based software and we strongly recommend that you prepare your main application content in a package like MS Word/Notepad and copy and paste it into the Face-Ed application form in the relevant sections. If the connection is lost while inputting, it can mean you lose the information already entered.
  2. If you get a message saying "Validation Error", this isn't a software fault. It means you have entered data in a format that wasn't expected and it is causing a problem with saving. This might mean you have entered words in a box that expects numbers, for example. It is useful to go back and check for those errors.
