Elekta is looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our Global User Experience Design organization to work with Elekta’s existing and new software and hardware solutions. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of UX & Usability. This a hybrid role, the employee is expected to work 3 days a week from our Crawley office.
Take the lead on improving overall user experience and usability in Elekta’s treatment devices and related software products.
Define usability strategy for the new product releases and perform user research and human factors analyses following regulatory guidelines like FDA , MDR and IEC 62366.
Partner with product designers in conducting user research and usability studies.
Deliver task analyses, use error analyses, product metrics, research results, customer journeys, and personas to support evidence-based decision making in product development.
Work together with product managers, product owners, clinical application specialist s , safety engineer s and other stakeholders to resolve usability issues. Facilitate workshops to share research insights and enable collaborative problem-solving.
To facilitate and complete regulatory usability documents for new products to support regulatory submission.
With the global team of UX Researchers , refine and improve the usability strategy and process.
To continue learning in the human factors area and help to increase the understanding of usability in soft ware and hardware development.
The right stuff
Degree or experience in Human factors engineering, HCI, industrial engineering, experimental or cognitive psychology, cognitive engineering, or related discipline.
5 + or 10+ years of human factor/usability related experience.
Excellent understanding of regulatory usability requirements and usability engineering principles.
Ability to do early concept exploration, creating early prototypes and wireframes that enable validation of product decisions.
Ability to understand and articulate the value that usability efforts bring to business.
Excellent communication skills in English .
Experience in medical devices or regulated industries is a merit.
Experience of working in a UX Lab is merit.
