Join us
We are seeking to appoint a Geography Teacher to join our busy Faculty. You will have a sound in-depth knowledge of human and physical geography, and ideally a good working knowledge of organising and running fieldwork study trips and experience of teaching the KS4 Edexcel GCSE Geography B curriculum and KS5 Edexcel A level Geography. We have a knowledge driven curriculum, and you would be part of the team contributing to this.
We have a highly supportive team in the Geography Faculty, constantly reviewing our curriculum and teaching practice. We have membership of the Geographical Association, Royal Geographical Society and Geography Review journal – we are always looking to improve our subject knowledge. We actively encourage and support staff to attend CPD, including examiner training and visiting other schools to share share ideas and resources.
We value our staff and do all that we can to support that from a well-equipped staffroom with access to laptops, refreshments (hot or cold), and freshly cooked food away from the hubbub of school life; a fully equipped gym, with rowing/running machines, fixed and free weights that staff are free to use; a free flu jab in winter; and fun tournaments to take part in over summer.
