Job description
We are recruiting a Breakfast Club Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 5 Hours per week (1 Hour Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent / Part Time
Location: Tynewydd Primary School Newbridge
We pay an attractive salary of £12 Per Hour Real Living wage and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This important service ensures the provision of a healthy, nutritious breakfast in a familiar and safe environment for young minds to get the best out of their school day.
You will work alongside colleagues who are committed to giving all children the support and care they need to be happy and to achieve.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the supervision and guidance of the Breakfast Club pupils alongside following our policies ensuring that all food safety regulations are adhered to. You must be an effective communicator as you will not only be liaising with the pupils but parents and the school staff.
The role is permanent, working 5 hours per week. That’s 1 hour daily, Monday to Friday during term time only (38 weeks a year).
A Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene in Catering would be ideal but not essential as full training on food safety awareness alongside other relevant courses will be provided.
For the role, we ask that you have:
Ability to work precisely and effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have a strong sense of purpose.
Ability to exercise good judgement when dealing with issues that are of a sensitive nature.
Willingness to train.
