An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence at the School of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Electronics. We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced candidate to join our busy team. We expect the post holder to work collaboratively with other team members to lead and contribute to the academic, scholarly and professional activities through the delivery and development of taught modules and research initiatives.
We seek strong candidates whose research aligns with Artificial Intelligence and related areas and applicants who can contribute to expanding our expertise into other areas. Eligible candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence or a closely related discipline and possess an excellent track record or demonstrable potential for innovative research and effective teaching. Experience in current artificial intelligence techniques and their application to real world problems is also essential.
We expect the post holder to make a significant contribution to research and scholarship, to publish and communicate your work at research meetings and conferences and to attract funding to support and develop these activities.
The post holder should also have a strong commitment to the development of teaching and the curriculum in the above areas. The post holder will be expected to enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced and multi-disciplinary teaching environment and be capable of carrying out high quality work with a diverse range of students.
