Job description


The post holder will play an integral part in the provision of a responsive, high quality Information Management function to the ISRH Service. The post holder will be required to:
• Promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to monitor and maximise performance across the
• To support improvements in data quality concentrating on core datasets and other key performance
• To produce and co-ordinate data submissions to external bodies relevant to the
• To support in reporting processes being optimised for their purpose, are designed and implemented to meet the needs of the data users and data standards are adhered
• To support the centralisation of data feeds and sources to implement new data collection and entry
• Support improvements in patient care through the use of information analysis to support
• Provide support to the Management Team for performance, systems development, data quality reporting and analysis.
• Work closely with the Clinical and Non-Clinical Managers and senior analysts in the Trust to ensure reporting is accurate and corrective action for data quality issues are implemented.
• To aid in the provision of management and clinical information to support clinical, operational management and modernisation.
• To participate in the formal statistical analysis and interpretation of results of data analysis, e.g. reports, charts, maps, pivot tables
• To design and develop spread sheets/databases to hold sometimes complex data for collection.
• To develop an understanding of the operational and clinical delivery of services within the Trust, and the commissioning arrangements, in order that accurate information is presented.
• To assist in the provision of an information service to managers, producing regular and ad hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• To support the timely provision of ad hoc information requests assigned to senior colleagues.
• To identify and propose changes to business processes or reporting systems to improve service, bring efficiencies and/or meet new policy or guidance requirements.
• To undertake the presentation and explanation of data analysis to a broad range of internal service.
• To assist in the receipt, input and validation of complex data sets received to strict deadlines, identifying potential and actual data problems and proposing solutions, to support the submission of statutory returns.
