Job description

Brief Overview

We can’t all be rock stars, uber cool musicians or sporting legends, but if you fancy an agency that has a lot of substance & history and can offer you the opportunity to work on a seriously cool range of campaigns, from global product launches to some slick print-based projects, and a smattering of events, this is worth a read.

They aren’t too big to get lost in the noise, but smaller & considered & an impressive portfolio of national clients which will keep pushing your development, and an outstanding reputation for staff retention and development.

By removing people politics, they’ve been able to build genuine trust and nurture true collaboration, and their honesty, integrity and mutual respect are key ingredients that help them deliver outstanding work and keep a glorious culture.

The role

This agency is full of grounded & creative people that have accumulated an array of awards over recent years, plus an unbelievable reputation for staff retention. Working here will allow your ideas to be encouraged and heard & their sole aim is to create and build transformational b2b brands that people want to work for and work with.

In conjunction with your senior team, you’ll take the lead on 2 or 3 main accounts, plus a selection of smaller ones, and typical projects will range from product launches to a global audience, full re-brands, innovative marketing literature through to online and offline advertising campaigns and cutting-edge digital projects. You will ensure the transition and development of briefs is seamless, from concept to fruition, and some campaigns are tactical and other, ore long-term. The role will also be involved in all recruitment and nurturing of staff, as well as their development and training, and you’ll have the benefit of working with a supportive and grounded CSD.

They’re change-makers, have a curious mindset and are insatiable learners, and passionately believe in embracing change and continually adapting to find the most creative solutions. As a key member of the client services team, you will be involved in all stages of project development from brief taking, concept development, strategy input, execution and evaluation. You’ll work with in-house specialists on brand proposition, positioning and visual identity development projects & deliver effective tactical and lead generation campaigns in line with client objectives – managing all aspects of campaign delivery, monitoring and reporting.

It will be expected that you will develop an ‘area of excellence’ within the agency around digital, brand or campaign planning, where you will lead all thought leadership, knowledge and practical skills. This will be discussed with you at your first review after joining the team. We will then give you the support you need to develop your knowledge and skills in this area.

What we’re looking for

You’ll thrive in a small to mid-sized environment where their individual strengths are important, but it’s the way they work & learn together and go the extra mile together, that makes them stronger.

It is essential you have B2B marketing experience, with a minimum of 3- 4 years’ experience working within an agency or business-to-business in-house marketing environment. Skills and experience are important, but they place equal importance on personality, attitude, and cultural fit within this agency. A seasoned account handler, you’ll love getting under the skin of a client & find a way that can transform their brand & marketing.

Ideally, an imaginative thinker with a head for strategy backed up by an enquiring mind, thirsty for new knowledge, and importantly, happy to share this around the team. You’ll also be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in and be a genuine people person who enjoys supporting others and seeing junior members of the team thrive and develop under your guidance.

What’s on offer

A salary of between £35 – £40,000 + benefits, hybrid working, 25 days holiday, pension as well as structured training and a development plan to help you progress to Account Director as soon as you are ready to take this on, as well as on-the-job and formal training support depending on your needs (examples include advanced people management skills, commercial skills, planning etc.).

We have a great insight into the culture of the agency, so for a better insight, please call Simon or pop an email for more details.
