Our client is an independent veterinary practice with a rich history dating back to 1973. With four practices located across Suffolk, they have been providing expert animal care for over 50 years, building a loyal and cherished client base.

Located in Felixstowe, this charming port town in Suffolk, was recently recognised as one of the best seaside towns in the country by The Times. It's renowned for its "amazing" beach, picturesque seafront gardens, and iconic pier.

Our client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Nurse to join their expanding team. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced nurse, this role offers a diverse caseload and a chance to enhance your skills. The position provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic, and passionate nurse to become a core part of their growing team. Our client is gearing up to move into their brand-new, purpose-built practice, set for completion in February 2024.

At the practice you will have access to comprehensive in-house diagnostics, including blood machines, x-ray, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitoring. Their facilities also boast endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment. You will actively participate in various aspects of animal care, including anaesthesia, surgical nursing, diagnostics, inpatient care, and nurse clinics. Our client encourages their nurses to become clinical coaches, contributing to the training of the next generation of RVNs.

You will collaborate with a highly experienced team of veterinary staff, each with varied interests, many of whom are working towards or have achieved certificate qualifications. Their nursing team is skilled and diverse, with areas of special interest covering a wide spectrum. Additionally, their support team, comprised of animal care assistants, receptionists, and administrative staff, is devoted to delivering the highest standard of care to both patients and clients.

The Role:
• Full Time role - 38 hour week
• 4 day week (8am - 6.30pm)
• 1:3 Saturday mornings (8am - 1pm)
• OOH on a rota basis and currently run at 1:12 full weekends
