Engineering Stores Person
Bradford
£11.55 - £12.40ph, Immediate start, crane and FLT training, early finish on Fridays, great working environment
Excellent opportunity to join a successful equipment manufacturer in the Bradford area. The role will be to support the company's manufacturing activities across stores, stock control, goods in and despatch areas. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar engineering or manufacturing environment previously and ideally hold a counterbalance FLT licence.
As the Engineering Stores person you will work in a busy warehouse and manufacturing operation ensuring that engineers on the shop floor have all the components they need to produce assemblies on time.
*The day to day role will include:
*Unloading goods received and allocating stock on the internal MRP system
*Carry out Goods Inward inspection for all component parts entering the company ensuring compliance to design specification and contractual requirements.
*Control defective items via segregation from good product.
*To identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements.
*Unpacking and checking deliveries against delivery paperwork
*Identifying and prioritising key deliveries and dispatching them to the relevant areas of the business.
*Stock control using the MRP system and locating stock in stores
*Undertake purchasing, repair, maintenance, manufacturing, test and installation tasks as requested.
*Continuously monitoring fast moving consumables and re-ordering for stock
*Highlighting and resolving any variance between orders and deliveries
*Supporting different areas of the business with logistic arrangements for dispatch items
*Accurate and timely completion of internal product documentation
*Monitoring and management of waste streams in line with the company's environmental policy
*To load, inspect and despatch all finished goods
The person:
*Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a desire to learn
*Hold a counterbalance FLT
*Have previous experience in a fast-moving engineering or similar stores environment.
*Good organisational skills
*Attention to detail
*Ability to work under own direction and monitor own workload
*Ability to diligently follow work procedures and practices
*Numerate and Literate
*IT literate
