Job Summary
Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a dynamic and passionate HR Manager with a full generalist background. You will work closely with our UK Strategic HR Business Partner to provide professional HR support at our Wolverhampton site. You will join a Human Resources Team that is at the forefront of innovation and excellence in aerospace and defense. Your mission will be to champion continuous improvement and support organizational change. You have the ability to think commercially, providing sound best practice advice in line with and adapting to changing Employment Legislation, managing a complex employee relations caseload. Your expertise will be pivotal in coaching our line managers and in supporting employees to ensure HR objectives are met with clear alignment to our business priorities.

Responsibilities Include
· Offering professional and commercially astute HR advice, empowering managers and employees at all levels with exceptional decision-making and influencing skills.
· Managing complex employee relations cases, including dispute resolutions, disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management, redundancy and retirement in line with Company policies and procedures. Escalating high risk concerns to the ER Manager and/or Strategic HRBP.
· Building leadership capability and enhancing line managers’ understanding of employment legislation and best practice in support of positive employee relations.
· Working with the ER Manager and Strategic HRBP in the delivery of training interventions to address skills and knowledge gaps.
· Identifying improvement opportunities across the employee lifecycle. Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures ensuring legislative requirements are met.
· Participating in key Operations meetings, advising the Senior Management Team of the employee relations impact of operating decisions.
· Supporting the Senior Management Team and Departmental Leads to deliver effective performance management, change management and restructuring programmes at site.
· Driving initiatives that support Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Lean (SQDCL) principles.
· Supporting effective formal and informal management communications across the site in line with site practices. This includes support to the Employee Council to aid effective communication across the site and to discuss business related issues, terms and conditions and general communication.
· Acting as the gatekeeper of high-quality recruits, working with the Recruitment team to ensure optimal talent acquisition.
· Overseeing the new starter induction process and ensure this is fit for purpose, keeping abreast of changing requirements internally and externally.
· Supporting workforce planning processes including talent and succession planning and associated development activity.
· Contributing to the development plans of the customer group to ensure that the business has the workforce skills required to fulfil current and future needs. Engaging with and supporting the UK Early Careers and STEM strategies.
· Guiding and advising Line Managers on basic compensation and benefits issues, ensuring compliance with our compensation strategy.
· Owning HR KPIs and metrics, providing updates as required by the business.
· Taking an active role in project work, as required.
· Ensuring effective management of the Occupational Health provision.
· Providing support on wellbeing, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion issues, ensuring an inclusive culture is embedded across the business.

Key Skills and experience:
· Degree in HR or related field and/or CIPD qualified (min. Level 7).
· Demonstrable experience in providing a full, generalist, hands on HR role with experience in managing a complex employee relations caseload across all policy areas.
· Proven track record in advising and coaching line managers in HR matters.
· Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
· Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Self-aware, self-motivated and results driven, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities with energy and drive.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills; facilitation and presentation skills.
· Customer focused and able to apply commercial focus and legislative knowledge to real situations in a business environment.
· Able to form strong working relationships and to influence managers at all levels regarding business and people related decisions.
· Ability to build collaborative working relationships with the business and utilize HR expertise to enhance organisational effectiveness.
· Facilitate communication and cooperation between people operating in different business functions (and different countries) who must collaborate to achieve business objectives.
· Some UK travel will be required.
