MDFM Commercial Manager
Glasgow or Knutsford
As a Barclays MDFM Commercial Manager, you will be accountable for all Sourcing and Supplier Management activities for vendors in the Market data space. This includes liaison with Business to ascertain needs, managing commercials, new contracts, renewals, queries, projects, and any other activity related to Market Data contracts, vendors, and their associated service. You will oversee all Market Data services which includes selection, contracting, supplier audits, inventory, allocation, and payments for all Market Data services.

What will you be doing?
• Managing commercial negotiations with relevant Market Data vendors
• Liaising with Business, Procurement and Legal to ensure favorable commercial terms which meet business requirements and yet mitigate business risk
• Assisting in overall Business relationship with assigned business teams
• Ensuring that Barclays leverages its global purchasing power with the vendors and undertakes proactive management of the global contracts on behalf of all relevant internal stakeholders
• Ensuring that the terms of all global deals are communicated to the relevant entities who are entitled to participate, and managing Barclays compliance to any vendor terms and conditions
• Conducting regular meetings and reviews with Vendors and Business stakeholders within Category
• Ensuring best practice is put in place for negotiation of all market data purchases
• Ensuring adherence to Barclays Procurement Sourcing and Supplier Management process
What we’re looking for:
• Higher economic, business, technical, legal or finance education degree with experience in financial services industry
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a global team, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with good communication skills, both written and oral
• Experience of contractual negotiations and commercial management
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge or awareness of third-party risk management processes and controls
• Knowledge or awareness of Market Data vendors and products
• Solid grasp of functional areas of Bank
• Knowledge or awareness of Regional/global market data inventory management and cost allocation experience
