Support Worker - Sheffield S10

Affinity Trust

Location

Sheffield | United Kingdom

Job description

Doing Amazing Things Together

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you a friendly and adaptable person? Do you enjoy snooker and all things sports?

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

You will be part of a fantastic team that provides support to 2 supported living locations in S10 Sheffield. The individuals we support here love all things sports, especially snooker, as well as many activities within their wider community. It is important that you can connect and share their interests. We need people like you to ensure they can live as independently as possible.

We are looking for flexible and open-minded people to join our team. If you are energetic and love trying new activities and are passionate about helping people to access their community, then we want to hear from you.

You could be empowering people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life!

For this role we need you to be a driver with access to your own vehicle, so you can get around Sheffield and make the most of the time you are spending with the people you support.

You should be available to work a variety of shifts between 7am -10pm, across the week and alternate weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all snooker or trips out. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way that they feel safe and well.

If you want to empower the people we support in Sheffield to live the life they choose, and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
