Job Title: Vehicle Service Technician
Location: Newport, NP19 4SL
Salary: £35,720 + £3,060 bonus + Benefits (Bonus is guaranteed for the first 3 months
Permanent - Full Time
Our client is one of the UK’s leading Automotive Retailers.
They are now actively looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Service Technician for their dealership in Newport.
What you’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:
- Utilise technical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
- Complete major electrical and engine repair work
- Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
- Carry out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find items relevant to the franchise brand
- Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHC), ensuring that the VHC video completion meets targets and exceeds all KPIs
Requirements

- Brimming with technical knowledge to carry out repairs confidently and safely and maintenance of customer vehicles.
- Capable of using systems and equipment within our workshop.
- Experienced of working to the highest quality standards within a franchised dealer, to productivity targets.
- Qualified by experience in post or to Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Confident to mentor and coach apprentices, and support less experienced team members.
- Equipped with a full UK driving licence and own tools.
