Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the child to provide 1-to-1 support in various classroom and school settings. You will provide support with reading, writing, and other academic tasks, as well as help with communication and social skills development. You will also support the child in managing their behaviour, implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the teacher or SENCO. Building a positive relationship with the child, establishing routines, and providing emotional support will be important aspects of this role. Qualifications and Experience: To be considered for this role, you should have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a special education setting, preferably with children with severe learning difficulties and autism. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with the child, teachers, and other professionals. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the child's individual needs and learning style are essential in this role. Relevant qualifications and certifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Autism Awareness, would be beneficial. Join our supportive and inclusive team and make a meaningful impact on the life of a child with severe learning difficulties and autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized 1-to-1 support and contribute to the child's educational and social development. To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will be subject to background checks and safeguarding procedures.Job tags
